Become involved in the Hayfield Orchestra Boosters!

Forms:

The Boosters support the Hayfield Secondary School seventh through twelfth grade Orchestra Program by providing assistance and support to the Orchestra Director by running fundraisers, helping with trip preparations and chaperoning, and aiding the orchestra program in other efforts as needed. Volunteering in the Boosters is a way for parents to become involved in their child’s education. Our tradition of excellence relies on a team of volunteers, educators, and students.

Meetings

Booster meetings are open to all Orchestra parents, guardians, students and booster members. We meet at 7:00 pm in the Orchestra Room. Our scheduled meetings for this year are: October 16, November 27, February 5, and May 6.

Student Accounts

A portion of the profits earned by individual student fundraising efforts will go into a Student Account. The student uses the money in his or her account to help defer the cost of the Spring Trip. Student Account balances will be emailed to the parents in early January. In order to use the money from your Student Account you must fill out an Orchestra Student Account form (available here) and turn it in with your Spring Trip payment. For questions on the Student Accounts please contact the Booster Treasurer.

Fundraisers

Basket Bingo

September 30 & February 10 - Students will receive the following in their Accounts: receive $5 credit for each ticket sold, sponsor a basket by donating $50 - $100 and receive 20% credit, fill a basket and receive $25 credit.

Fall Fundraiser

We will be selling Cheesecake, Cookie Dough, Soup, Chili, Desserts, and Pasta. Orders will be collected beginning October 29 and must be turned in to Ms. New by November 16. Items will be available for pickup at our concert on December 12. Students will receive 50% of the profit in their Student Account.

Patriot Center

The Patriot Center offers fundraising to groups willing to work the concession stands. This year we will receive 10% of food sales. There are several stations: nachos, pretzels, ice cream, pizza, and fryer and to run the station they require 2 – 5 people (students and/or parents). Workers are responsible for food preparation, the register, and clean-up (a stand manager will assist). Once a date is selected we are committed to doing that event. I will send out a schedule periodically, if anyone is interested in working any of the events please let me know as soon as possible and I’ll get us on the schedule. 100% of the money raised will be slit between the workers and your Student Account will be credited.

Restaurant Nights

We will be sponsoring restaurant nights in October and February. A portion of each bill will be donated to the boosters. The restaurants we are considering are Red Hot & Blue and Z Pizza.

Spirit Wear

We have T-Shirts for $12 in blue or orange (order form here) and Crest Cleaner Discount Cards for $20.

Dresses

High School women wear black uniform dresses. Students will have the opportunity to purchase or rent their dress. The cost of a new dress is $65, a slightly used dress is $40 or you can rent a dress for $25 per year. Students will be fitted for their dress in early September. A Dress Order Form is here.

All Orchestra and Booster information will be posted online at www.hayfieldorchestras.com. We also send out emails throughout the year. If you would like to be added to the email list please send an email to Gail Witt at aawitt@cox.net with the subject of Hayfield Orchestra.
